Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on March 19, 2026, notified regarding the initiation of sunset review investigation concerning imports of Aceto Acetyl Derivatives of Aromatic or Heterocyclic Compounds, also known as Arylides, from China PR.

The following has been stated:

• It has initiated a sunset review investigation on imports of Aceto Acetyl Derivatives (Arylides) from China PR, as the existing anti-dumping duty imposed in October 2021 is set to expire on October 13, 2026.

• The application was filed by M/s Laxmi Organics Industries Ltd., the sole domestic producer, claiming that removal of duty may lead to continuation of dumping and injury. The product under consideration includes specific forms of arylides classified under tariff heading 292429.

• The period of investigation is from October 01, 2024, to September 30, 2025. Prima facie evidence shows that dumped imports from China continue at significant levels, undercut domestic prices, and have adversely affected the domestic industry, causing financial losses and price suppression.

• Therefore, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies has initiated this review to determine whether the anti-dumping duty should be continued to prevent the recurrence of dumping and injury.
