The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 19, 2026, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Titanium Dioxide for Pigmentary Applications.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be March 12, 2026 -
• IS 411 : 2026 Titanium Dioxide for Pigmentary Applications — Specification (Fifth Revision).
• IS 1448 (Part 1/Sec 2) : 2026 Petroleum and its Products — Test Methods Part 1 Determination of Base Number of Petroleum Products Section 2 Potentiometric Titration (Third Revision).
• IS 1448 (Part 205) : 2026 Petroleum and its Products — Methods of Test Part 205 Determination of Total Volatile Sulphur in Gaseous Hydrocarbons and Liquefied Petroleum Gases Through Ultraviolet Fluorescence.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be September 12, 2026: -
• IS 411 : 2020 Titanium Dioxide, Anatase, for Paints — Specification (Fourth Revision).
• IS 1448 [P:1/Section 2] : 2002 Methods of Test for Petroleum and its Products [P: 1/ Section 2] Determination of Base Number of Petroleum Products by Potentiometric Titration (Second Revision).
• IS 5311 – 1969 Code of Safety for Carbon Tetrachloride.
