Finance & Taxation Compliance The State Taxes and Excise Department, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh on March 18, 2026, issued the amendment to the Himachal Pradesh Taxation (on Certain Goods Carried by Road) Act, 1999.

The following has been amended in Schedule I of the act:

• The amendment substitutes the tax rate for Item No. 19 (Clinker) to ₹130 per ton under Schedule I.

• It also inserts new entries (Sr. No. 23–26) prescribing tax rates for fly ash blocks, fly ash bricks, ceramic/surface tiles, and PVC/wooden paneling or flooring at specified rates.
