NCDEX notified regarding the E-ASM of 2.5% re-triggered

The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on March 10, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Applicability of Event based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM).

The following has been stated namely: -

• As per earlier NCDEX circulars, Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) is applied on select commodities based on price volatility.

• E-ASM is triggered using price variation formula: (High–Low)/Low × 100 over a specified period.

• For Turmeric, due to significant 10-day price movement (≥15%), E-ASM of 2.5% has been re-triggered.

• The margin will apply to all existing and upcoming Turmeric contracts till April 02, 2026.

• Other commodities mostly show no current trigger, except Coriander (till April 01, 2026) and Turmeric (till April 02, 2026) under E-ASM
