The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on March 24, 2026, issued a notification regarding annual clearing membership fees for FY 2026-27.
The following has been stated:
It has been notified that all Clearing Members, Self-Clearing Members, and Professional Clearing Members of NSE Clearing Limited are required to pay an annual clearing membership fee of ₹50,000 per segment for the financial year 2026–27. This fee applies to members operating in Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Debt, and Commodity Derivatives segments. However, members who are already paying fees for any derivatives segment are exempt from paying separately for the Debt segment. Additionally, the prescribed fee is subject to 18% GST.
The fee amount of ₹50,000 plus applicable GST will be automatically debited from the respective segment-wise settlement bank accounts mapped with NSE Clearing Limited starting from May 7, 2026, and will continue until full recovery. Members are advised to maintain sufficient funds in their accounts to avoid disruptions; if funds are insufficient in one segment account, other linked segment accounts may be debited. In case of any delay in payment, interest will be charged on the outstanding amount as per applicable regulations.
