The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on March 24, 2026, issued extension in the validity of TRQ Authorisation for import of gold under India-UAЕ СЕРА (Tariff Head 7108) issued in FY 2025-26.
The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), considering current geopolitical challenges affecting global trade and logistics, has extended the validity of TRQ Authorisations for gold imports under the India-UAE CEPA. These authorisations, issued during FY 2025–26 for gold under CTH 7108, will now remain valid until June 30, 2026, instead of the earlier deadline of March 31, 2026.
This extension is automatic, meaning importers are not required to submit any application, pay fees, or seek amendments to avail the benefit. The move is intended to ease import processes and support trade continuity under prevailing global conditions.
