Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Karnataka on March 24, 2026, issued the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 2026 to further amend the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 2014.

The following amendments have been stated:

In the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 2014, in rule 26, in sub-rule (1) in clause (d), for the words "Eight meters" the words "Six meters" shall be substituted.

They shall come into force from March 24, 2026.
