The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on March 25, 2026, computed the retail price of the formulation “Ivermectin IP 6 mg + Albendazole IP 400 mg (uncoated chewable tablet)” under Para 5 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 based on July 2025 data. The price determination applies to M/s Ved Lifesavers (P) Ltd. (manufacturer) and M/s Wockhardt Ltd. (marketer).
The authority has worked out the retail price at ₹29.60 per tablet (excluding GST), which is significantly lower than the claimed price of ₹46.19. Accordingly, the proposed retail price has been fixed at ₹29.60 (excluding GST) in line with the DPCO pricing methodology.
This fixation ensures price regulation of scheduled formulations to maintain affordability and compliance with the provisions of DPCO, 2013.
