The Government of Himachal Pradesh on March 23, 2026, issued the Draft Himachal Pradesh Lease (Amendment) Rules, 2026 to further amend the Himachal Pradesh Lease Rules, 2013.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In Rule 4 of the Himachal Pradesh Lease Rules, 2013 after sub- rule (vii), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:-
(viii) The construction of residential houses purely for private /non-commercial use.
If any person likely to be affected by this amendment has any objection (s) or suggestions(s) to make in respect of these rules, he may send the same to the Addl. Chief Secretary (Revenue) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla171002 within 30 days from the date of publication of these draft rules in Rajpatra (e-Gazette), Himachal Pradesh.
