The Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) on March 26, 2026, issued a notification regarding mock trading on March 29, 2026.
The Exchange will conduct a mock trading session on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM, preceded by a special session from 08:55 AM to 08:59 AM, to test system performance and proposed changes. As part of this mock, a new Partition (6) will be introduced specifically for testing, and all Agri commodities—Cardamom, Cotton, Cotton Seed Wash Oil, Kapas, and Mentha Oil—will be migrated to this partition during the session. Members are required to implement necessary system changes, including updating connectivity details such as the additional Stream 6 market data IP and port provided in the annexures, and validate these changes during the mock.
Updated product partition details will be reflected in the master reference data file (Mcxscrip.bcp), which will be made available on the Exchange’s SFTP path for the mock session. Members planning to test algorithmic trading for retail investors can use this opportunity and must share the required details (TM Code, User ID, and leased line IP) with the Exchange by March 27, 2026; such mappings will be removed after the session. Participants using the CTCL facility are advised to actively test using the MCX Enhanced Trading Interface (ETI) API version 1.4.2 and also validate their systems from the Disaster Recovery site.
Participation in the mock session is enabled through existing leased line connectivity or via internet using SSL VPN credentials. Members should note that revised connectivity details are applicable only for the mock session due to the temporary migration of Agri products. After completion, members must ensure their systems are restored to the production environment. Trades executed during the mock session will not result in any financial obligations such as pay-in or pay-out.
Please refer to the annexure attached below to the document for more details.
