Industry Specific ComplianceThe Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), on March 24, 2026, issued a direction under Section 13 read with Section 11 of the TRAI Act, 1997 regarding the publication of tariff offers by telecom service providers. The Authority reiterated its mandate to regulate telecom services, ensure transparency, and protect consumer interests through proper disclosure of tariff plans.

In continuation of the Telecom Tariff Order, 1999 and earlier Direction dated September 18, 2020, telecom service providers are required to publish all tariff offers, including Special Tariff Vouchers, Combo Vouchers, and Add-on Packs. These tariff details must be made accessible to consumers through multiple channels such as customer care centres, points of sale, retail outlets, and official websites or mobile applications.

Further, service providers must ensure that all tariff information is updated promptly across all platforms whenever there is any modification or introduction of new tariff plans. This direction reinforces transparency and ensures that subscribers have access to accurate and updated tariff information at all times.
