The Government of Maharashtra on March 01, 2026, notified regarding the statewide POSH Committee Audit within One Month.
Chairperson Rupali Chakankar has instructed all district collectors and divisional commissioners in Maharashtra to conduct an audit of Internal Complaints Committees under the POSH framework within one month. All government, semi-government, local bodies, corporations, and autonomous institutions shall ensure that these committees are properly constituted and operational. Authorities have been warned to immediately address gaps or non-compliance, failing which legal action may be initiated. A consolidated compliance report is to be submitted to the Commission within 30 days.
