Industry Specific ComplianceThe Fisheries Department, Rajasthan on March 12, 2026, issued the Rajasthan Fisheries (Amendment) Rules,2026, to further amend the Rajasthan Fisheries Rules 1958.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Rule 5 which states “Procedure by inviting tender/auction” has been deleted

• Rule 5A which states “Allotment of water to the Tribal Fisherman Co-operative Society” has been substituted to state: -

“Waters, situated in Scheduled areas of the Rajasthan as referred in clause (1) of Article 244 of the Constitution of India except those areas which are administered by a municipality, may be allotted to the Registered Tribal Fisherman Co-operative Society on reserve price determined under clause (b) of sub-rule (1) of rule 5. Allotment of the B category water shall be made by the Director, Fisheries and C and D category water shall be made by the Fishery Officer of district concerned.”

This shall come into force on March 12, 2026.
