Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Heavy Industries (MoHI) on March 28, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Aadhaar Authentication requirement for Availing Government benefits.

The following has been stated: -

•Individuals must authenticate or provide proof of Aadhaar to avail benefits; those without Aadhaar must apply for enrolment. 

•Until Aadhaar is issued, beneficiaries can use EID acknowledgment and valid identity documents for verification. 

•If biometric authentication fails, alternative methods like OTP or offline Aadhaar verification (QR code/e-KYC) are allowed. 

•Government will ensure enrolment support, awareness, and exception handling so no eligible beneficiary is denied benefits.

•This notification shall come into force on March 28, 2026.
