Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on March 25, 2026, notified the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Fourth Amendment Order, 2026, further to amend the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985.

The following has been stated: -

•Schedule VI (Part A) of the Fertiliser Control Order, 1985 has been updated to include new biostimulant specifications for humic/fulvic acid and seaweed extract products. 

•Three new humic–fulvic acid products are added: 10.48% powder, 20.20% liquid, and 51% powder/flake, with defined composition, pH, solubility, and organic carbon standards. 

•These products are mainly sourced from leonardite or brown coal, with specified minimum humic and fulvic acid content and application guidelines. 

•Recommended usage includes soil and foliar applications for crops like tomato and rice, with defined dosage and frequency. 

•A new 100% seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) extract powder is also added, with nutrient parameters and foliar application recommendations for tomato crops.

It shall come into force on March 30, 2026.
