The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 27, 2026, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Eye Scissors.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be March 20, 2026 -
• IS 4569 (Part 2) : 2026 Eye Scissors — Specification Part 2 Conjunctival, Blunt and Sharp-Point Scissors (Third Revision).
• IS 4569 (Part 3) : 2026 Eye Scissors — Specification Part 3 Scissors, Tenotomy (Third Revision).
• IS 5157 : 2026 Forceps, Eye, Iris — Specification (Second Revision).
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be September 20, 2026 -
• IS 4569 (Part 2) - 1985 Specification for Scissors, Eye Part 2 Conjunctival, Blunt and Sharp-Point Scissors (Second Revision).
• IS 4569 (Part 3) - 1985 Specification for Scissors, Eye Part 3 Scissors, Tenotomy (Second Revision).
• IS 5157 – 1981 Specification for Forceps, Eye, Iris (First Revision).
