The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on March 28, 2026, notified regarding the Coparceners Details in HUF Demat Accounts.
The following has been stated:
• Depository Participants (DPs) are required to capture detailed information of all coparceners while opening HUF demat accounts, including their name, PAN, and relationship, making this process mandatory under system enhancements.
• Additionally, a separate system tab has been introduced specifically for capturing Karta details—such as name, mobile number (with ISD code), email ID, UID, and remarks—replacing the earlier practice of recording such details under authorised signatories.
• These changes aim to improve data accuracy, transparency, and compliance in HUF account opening procedures.
