Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on March 27, 2026, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Design Loads (Other than Earthquake) for Buildings and Structures.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be March 20, 2026 -

• IS 875 (Part 1) : 2026 Design Loads (Other than Earthquake) for Buildings and Structures — Code of Practice Part 1 Dead Loads — Unit Weights of Building, Construction and Stored Materials (Third Revision).

• IS 1528 (Part 14) : 2026 Methods of Sampling and Physical Tests for Refractory Materials Part 14 Sieve Analysis and Determination of Water Content (Second Revision).

• IS 2601 : 2026 Brass Anodes for Electroplating — Specification (Second Revision).

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be September 20, 2026 -

• IS 875 (Part 1) – 1987 Code of Practice for Design Loads (Other Than Earthquake) for Building and Structures Part 1 Dead Loads — Unit Weights of Building Materials and Stored Materials (Second Revision).

• IS 1528 (Part XIV) – 1974 Methods of Sampling and Physical Tests for Refractory Materials Part XIV Determination of Sieve Analysis (First Revision).

• IS 3466 – 1988 Specification for Masonry Cement (Second Revision).
