The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on March 13, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Security Requirements for Members Connecting Through MCX SSL VPN Solution.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Multi Commodity Exchange of India has issued updated cybersecurity and VPN usage guidelines for members accessing trading systems via SSL VPN.
• Windows 10 VPN support will be discontinued from March 20, 2026 (end of trading session); members must migrate to Windows 11 to continue VPN access.
• Members must ensure secure desktop practices including licensed OS, regular updates/patches, endpoint security, firewall activation, and removal of unnecessary software/services.
• VPN & network best practices include activating VPN before access, keeping VPN updated, avoiding public Wi-Fi, and reporting any changes in OTP/mobile authentication details.
• MCX may audit security measures, and non-compliance may lead to restricted access or connectivity issues with trading systems.
