Secretarial ComplianceThe Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has issued a notification regarding DIR-3 KYC Compliance Framework. It has revamped the DIR-3 KYC compliance system to reduce repetitive filings and improve ease of doing business while maintaining strong corporate governance.

The following has been stated: -

Filing Requirement: Directors must now file DIR-3 KYC Web once every three financial years (instead of annually), by June 30th. 

Mandatory Updates Within 30 Days: Any changes in mobile number, email ID, or residential address must be updated within 30 days via DIR-3 KYC Web with applicable fees. 

Unified Form: Previous forms (DIR-3 KYC and DIR-3 KYC Web) are merged into a single DIR-3 KYC Web form. 

These changes will come into force from March 31, 2026, vide Notification No. G.S.R. 943(E) dated December 31, 2025. 

Pending Forms Cancelled: Existing forms in draft or pending status will be marked cancelled, requiring fresh filing under the new system.
