Industry Specific ComplianceThe National E-Governance Services Ltd. (NeSL) on March 13, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Clarification on SD calculator for the state of Uttar Pradesh for Digital e-Stamping.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Changes in permitted article codes for Uttar Pradesh under NeSL DDE are effective from March 12, 2026, as per SHCIL communication.

• Minimum stamp duty for all active articles is ₹10, and it must be in multiples of ₹10.

• For Article 12(A) – Bank Guarantee, stamp duty limits are revised to minimum ₹50 and maximum ₹10,000.

• Article 48 – Power of Attorney has been deactivated and is no longer available for DDE users.

• Banks/NBFCs must ensure correct article code and stamp duty selection; responsibility for proper payment lies with the executing bank, not NeSL.
