The notification specifies that revised standards including IS 4755 (Part 1): 2026 (acoustics calibration), IS 8327: 2026, and IS 8734: 2026 (ENT surgical instruments) have been established on March 20, 2026. These updated standards incorporate revised technical specifications and align with international benchmarks where applicable.
Further, the earlier versions of these standards will remain in force concurrently until September 20, 2026, after which they will be withdrawn. This transition period allows stakeholders sufficient time to shift to the updated standards.
