The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on March 31, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Extension in Import Period for Yellow Peas under ITC (HS) Code 07131010 of Chapter 07 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule -I (Import Policy).
The following has been stated namely: -
• The existing import policy for Yellow Peas (ITC HS Code 07131010) has been extended from March 31, 2026 to March 31, 2027.
• Import of Yellow Peas will continue to remain “Free”, meaning no Minimum Import Price (MIP) and no port restrictions
• Imports are allowed subject to mandatory registration under the Import Monitoring System, for consignments where the Bill of Lading is issued on or before March 31, 2027.
