The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on March 31, 2026, issued Extension in "Free" Import Poicy of Tur/Pigeon Peas (Cajanus Cajan) [ITC (HS) 0713 60 00] under ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule - I (Import Policy).
The DGFT under the powers conferred by the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 and the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, has amended the import policy conditions for Tur (Pigeon Peas).
As per the notification, the import of Tur under ITC (HS) Code 07136000 will continue to remain “Free.” The earlier validity for free import, which was up to March 31, 2026, has now been extended till March 31, 2027.
This amendment ensures continued ease in the import of Tur, supporting domestic availability and price stability in the pulses market.
