The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 01, 2026, issued Updates for Implementation of Section 51A of UAPA, 1967: Updates to UNSC’s 1267/ 1989 ISIL (Da'esh) & Al-Qaida Sanctions List - Amendment in 02 entries.
The following has been stated: -
•SEBI has informed exchanges about UN Security Council updates (March 26, 2026), amending entries in the sanctions list.
•Entities must refer to updated UNSC lists for ISIL (Da’esh), Al-Qaida, and Taliban-linked individuals and organizations.
•Intermediaries are required to follow AML/CFT guidelines and the Central Government Order dated February 02, 2021, under the UAPA.
•All existing and new accounts must be screened to ensure no linkage with sanctioned entities or individuals.
•Requests for de-listing must be forwarded to MHA and MEA, and regular updates should be checked on the SEBI website.
