Industry Specific ComplianceThe Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) (BoPT(ER)) on March 30, 2026, issued a notification regarding the mandatory APAAR ID Requirement for Contracts and DBT Processing in the NATS Portal.

The following has been stated: -

•The Ministry has made APAAR ID mandatory for key processes on the NATS portal.

DBT Release of Payment (RoP) requests will only be approved if the apprentice’s APAAR ID is available.

•Submission of RoP (both VAN and Normal) will not be allowed without an APAAR ID.

•New apprenticeship contracts will be approved only if the candidate provides an APAAR ID.

•Organizations must ensure apprentices create and upload APAAR IDs to enable timely approvals and stipend disbursement.
