The Department of Transport, Goa, on April 01, 2026, issued a notification regarding Fitness Certificate Fees for Older Vehicles.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Goa has reduced fitness certificate fees for motor vehicles older than 13 years under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.
•Heavy vehicles aged 13–15 years will be charged ₹2,000, while those 15–20 years old will pay ₹5,000.
•Vehicles older than 20 years will be charged ₹10,000.
•The revised fees will take effect from April 01, 2026.
