Labour ComplianceThe Government of Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2026, issued a notification regarding the revision of the Minimum wages of unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled workers.

The following has been stated: -

•Minimum wages revised based on Consumer Price Index (425 points), covering unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled workers with monthly wages ranging from ₹11,313 to ₹13,940. 

•Daily wages are calculated at 1/26 of monthly wages, ensuring a standardized payment structure. 

•Special piece-rate wages are prescribed for brick kiln workers like Pathera, Bharaiwala, and Nikasiwala. 

•The notification applies to 74 scheduled employments, including industries like manufacturing, construction, healthcare, IT, transport, and domestic work. 

•Employers must also ensure hourly wages are at least 1/6 of daily wages, maintaining fair compensation standards.
