The Government of Punjab on March 30, 2026, issued the Punjab Liquor Permit and Pass (First Amendment) Rules, 2026 to further amend the Punjab Liquor Permit and Pass Rules, 1932.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the Punjab Liquor Permit and Pass Rules, 1932 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 2, in the fourth proviso, for the words and figures "rupeel per Bulk Litre", words and figures "rupee 1.5 per Bulk Litre" shall be substituted.
• In the said rules, in rule 22-A, in sub rule (1),-
o for the words "rupees two thousand", the words "rupees two thousand and five hundred" shall be substituted; and
o for the words "rupees ten thousand", words "rupees fifteen thousand" shall be substituted.
