The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on April 02, 2026, issued circular on Specification of Certification Course for KMPs and other employees of Capital Market Intermediaries under the IFSCA (Capital Market Intermediaries) Regulations, 2025.
The International Financial Services Centres Authority has mandated a certification requirement for employees of Capital Market Intermediaries (CMIs) under the CMI Regulations, 2025.
Accordingly, the certification course titled “Regulatory Framework for Capital Market Intermediaries in IFSC”, offered by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, has been specified. CMIs must ensure that their Key Managerial Personnel and employees engaged in core business activities successfully complete this course by September 30, 2026.
The responsibility for compliance lies with both the CMI and persons in control of the entity, who must ensure timely completion of the certification. Additionally, employees involved in non-operational or support functions are encouraged to undertake the course to enhance regulatory awareness and professional competence.
This circular has been issued under the relevant provisions of the IFSCA Act, 2019 and CMI Regulations, and is effective immediately.
