Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Chhattisgarh on March 09, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Aadhaar-Based Identification for RTE Admissions and Benefits in Chhattisgarh

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Chhattisgarh Government mandates Aadhaar-based identification for children to avail benefits under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (25% EWS admissions in private schools). 

• Children must provide Aadhaar or undergo authentication, and those without Aadhaar should enroll with parental consent via Unique Identification Authority of India facilities. 

• Benefits will not be denied if Aadhaar is unavailable—alternative documents (birth certificate, school ID, ration card, etc.) can be used temporarily. 

• Multiple authentication methods are allowed: biometric (fingerprint/iris/face), OTP, or QR code verification to ensure smooth benefit delivery. 

• The government will facilitate Aadhaar enrolment, awareness, and verification systems, and the notification is effective immediately upon publication.
