The University Grants Commission (UGC) on March 31, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Extension of last date of admission for academic year 2025-26, academic session February, 2026 for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes and Online programmes being offered by recognized/entitled Higher Educational Institutions (HEIS).
The following has been stated namely: -
• University Grants Commission has extended the admission deadline for ODL and Online programmes (Feb 2026 session) to April 10, 2026, and data submission deadline to April 13, 2026.
• Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) must follow the revised timeline and comply with UGC regulations and guidelines.
• Students should verify programme and institution recognition on the UGC-DEB portal before taking admission.
