The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 02, 2026, issued circular on Unique Client Codes (UCCs) with Non-Verified KRA Status.
Reference is made to the SEBI circular dated August 11, 2023 on simplification of KYC processes and strengthening risk management at KRAs. The circular mandates that clients whose KYC attributes remain unverified must not be allowed to carry out transactions in the securities market.
Accordingly, Members are required to mark all such unverified Unique Client Codes (UCCs) as closed or inactive in the exchange database by April 30, 2026.
Non-compliance with these directions will be treated seriously by Securities and Exchange Board of India.
