The Government of Madhya Pradesh on March 23, 2026, issued the notification regarding the amendments in the Madhya Pradesh Control of Industrial Major Accident Hazards Rules, 1999
The following has been stated namely: -
• In Schedule-1, in Part-II-List of HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS, after Serial number 432 and entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be added, namely: -
"433 - GUN POWDER OR FIREWORKS"
• After Schedule -1, the following Footnote shall be added, namely: -
"Footnote "Gunpowder" and "Fireworks" shall have the same meanings respectively, as assigned to them in rule 2 of The Explosive Rules, 2008."
