Finance & Taxation Compliance The State Taxes and Excise Department, Himachal Pradesh on March 18, 2026, issued the notification regarding the amendment in Schedule-I of the Himachal Pradesh Taxation (on Certain Goods Carried by Road) Act, 1999.

The following has been stated namely: -

• For the existing item no. 21, the tax rate under column-3 of the said Schedule-I has been substituted namely: -

“Tobacco in all forms including Pan Masala, Pan Chutney and Preparations containing Tobacco or Tobacco substitutes. - Rs. 8.00 per kg. or part thereof”
