Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD) on March 19, 2026, issued the notification regarding the 7th Reallocation of Export Quota for export during Sugar Season 2025-26 and consequent adjustment of Monthly release quantity on account of exchange of export quantity with domestic monthly release quantity.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Government has permitted the export of 15 LMT of sugar along with export modalities.

• Clause 4 of the guidelines allows sugar mills to exchange their export quota with their domestic monthly release quota.

• Requests and agreements for such exchanges have been examined, resulting in allocation of additional export quantities and corresponding adjustments to domestic quotas, as detailed in the Annexure.
