The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), on April 02, 2026, vide Amendment 06/2026, has approved a revision in pack size for Item No. 52b (Nifedipine SR 20 mg – Calcigard Retard) under Rate Contract (RC) 166. The amendment has been issued at the request of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited.
Under the revised terms, the pack size has been increased from 10 tablets to 15 tablets, while the price remains unchanged at ₹0.92 per tablet. There is no change in rate, composition, or specifications, and the product will continue to be supplied as per the approved DGESIC rate contract.
Further, the supplied drug must comply with all applicable standards under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and adhere to the approved composition and strength.
