The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), on April 2026, under the provisions of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, has computed the retail price for a combination drug containing:
Telmisartan 40 mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5 mg + Metoprolol Succinate 23.75 mg (ER equivalent to Metoprolol Tartrate 25 mg) based on August 2025 data.
Existing Price (AIM): ₹13.50 per tablet (excluding GST)
Proposed Retail Price: ₹11.99 per tablet (excluding GST)
The formulation is manufactured by Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd and marketed by Primus Remedies Pvt Ltd.
Impact:
The revised pricing results in a price reduction, ensuring affordability and compliance with price control norms under DPCO.
