Industry Specific ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCX) on March 30, 2026, issued the Revised Guidelines for Activation of Membership.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Newly admitted Clearing Members must complete payment of fees, deposits, and activation procedures within 6 months from approval by the Clearing Corporation or SEBI registration (whichever is later) without any late fee.

• If the member fails to complete the procedure within 6 months, a non-refundable late fee of ₹10,000 per month (excluding taxes) will apply for up to 12 months.

• Failure to complete the activation and payment process within the maximum extended period may lead to cancellation of membership by the relevant authority of the Clearing Corporation.

• The provisions apply to new memberships approved from April 01, 2026 onwards.

• For memberships approved before April 01, 2026, but pending activation

The provisions will be effective from October 01, 2026.
