Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 09, 2026, issued a Master Circular for compliance with the provisions of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, on non-compliance with the Minimum Public Shareholding (MPS) requirements.

The following has been stated: 

•Securities and Exchange Board of India issued a circular on April 07, 2026, granting relief on Minimum Public Shareholding (MPS) compliance.

•The relaxation is due to capital market volatility caused by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. 

•It provides a one-time exemption from penal provisions under the SEBI Master Circular. 

•This applies to listed entities whose MPS compliance due dates fall between April 01, 2026, and September 30, 2026. 

•The circular is effective immediately, and all listed companies must take note and comply accordingly.
