Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on April 8, 2026, issued releasing a Master Circular on Spot Price Polling. The circular consolidates all relevant instructions and directions issued earlier by the Exchange, along with applicable provisions aligned with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), to provide a single reference point for market participants.

The Master Circular is intended to improve accessibility and clarity by compiling operational circulars related to spot price polling that are currently in force. It also clarifies that in case of any inconsistency between the Master Circular and original circulars, the original circulars shall prevail, thereby maintaining legal continuity and interpretational hierarchy.

Further, the circular ensures that any actions taken under previous or rescinded processes—including inspections, investigations, disciplinary proceedings, rights, liabilities, or penalties—shall remain valid and unaffected. This safeguards regulatory continuity and ensures that past actions retain their legal standing despite consolidation into the Master Circular.
