The Government of Himachal Pradesh, on April 4, 2026, issued a notification partially modifying its earlier notification dated January 29, 2026, regarding the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)-cum-Guidelines for recruitment of Crèche Workers and Crèche Helpers under the Palna Scheme of Mission Shakti. The amendment has been introduced in public interest and is effective immediately.
The revised provisions expand the scope of continuation of existing Crèche Workers and Helpers in centres where standalone crèches have been merged with Anganwadi Centres during FY 2022–23 to FY 2025–26. In such cases, no fresh recruitment will be undertaken, and existing workers who have been rendering uninterrupted services will continue on a co-terminus basis, subject to conditions such as being below 60 years of age and meeting prescribed educational qualifications. Additionally, flexibility has been introduced allowing workers lacking qualifications for Crèche Worker roles to be considered for Crèche Helper positions.
Further, where both existing Crèche Worker and Helper meet eligibility for the Helper role, preference will be given based on longer experience. Similar amendments have been made in the eligibility criteria for Crèche Helpers, ensuring continuity of services while maintaining qualification standards. The notification has been issued under the authority of the State Government.
