The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on April 09, 2026, issued amendment in description against HS Code 73181500 in Appendix-4R and Appendix-4RE of the RoDTEP Schedule.
The Government has issued a correction under the RoDTEP Scheme in Appendix-4R and Appendix-4RE of the Handbook of Procedures. The amendment revises the description of goods under HS Code 73181500 to ensure alignment with the Customs Tariff classification.
Specifically, the description has been revised from “Screw for use in manufacture of cellular mobile phone” to “Other screws and bolts, whether or not with their nuts or washers”. This change broadens the scope of the product classification and removes the earlier restriction to mobile phone manufacturing use.
The revision has been made to maintain consistency with the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and is effective retrospectively from December 15, 2022.
