The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on April 08, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Draft Directions for ‘Trade Receivables Discounting System’.
The following has been stated namely: -
• RBI aims to improve access to finance for MSMEs by strengthening the framework for Trade Receivables Discounting System, which helps convert trade receivables into liquidity.
• RBI has released draft Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS) Directions after a comprehensive review to rationalise and harmonise existing guidelines.
• Stakeholders can submit comments/feedback by May 01, 2026 via the ‘Connect 2 Regulate’ section on RBI’s website.
