The Labour Department, Government of Haryana, on April 1, 2026, issued notification revising the minimum rates of wages for all employments in the State. The revised wages are based on the recommendations of the Committee constituted for fixation/revision of wages and are effective from 1st April, 2026.
The revised monthly wages are fixed as ₹15,220.71 (Unskilled), ₹16,780.74 (Semi-Skilled), ₹18,500.81 (Skilled), and ₹19,425.85 (Highly Skilled), with corresponding per day rates. These wages apply to all establishments, including factories and contract labour, and ensure no gender-based wage discrimination. Employers are required to pay at least these minimum wages, and principal employers are responsible for compliance even in cases of contract labour.
The notification further clarifies that these are basic wages without allowance bifurcation, with 100% neutralization linked to CPI as per rules. Trainees are entitled to 75% of applicable wages (subject to minimum unskilled wages), and apprentices are governed separately under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The revision ensures wage protection, continuity of prior rights/liabilities, and mandates strict adherence across all employments in the State.
