The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on April 10, 2026, issued amendment for extension of validity of Minimum Export Price (MEP) on export of Natural Honey.
The Government has issued a notification extending the Minimum Export Price (MEP) condition on Natural Honey (HS Code 04090000) under the Export Policy. This amendment revises the earlier notification and continues the existing export regulation.
The MEP of USD 1400 FOB per metric ton, which was earlier valid till March 31, 2026, has now been extended till December 31, 2026. There is no change in the MEP value; only the validity period has been extended.
This means exports of natural honey will continue to be allowed under the “Free” category, but subject to the same MEP condition for the extended period to regulate pricing and ensure value realization.
