The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), on April 10, 2026, issued Press Release extending the timeline for submission of stakeholder comments on the draft Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2026.
Initially, the last dates were April 12, 2026 for comments and April 27, 2026 for counter comments. However, considering requests from stakeholders citing the significant business, regulatory, technical, and financial implications of the proposed amendments, TRAI has revised the deadlines.
The new timelines are:
Comments: April 19, 2026
Counter Comments: May 04, 2026
Stakeholders are encouraged to submit their inputs via email to TRAI, enabling broader participation and detailed deliberation on the proposed regulatory changes.
