Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on April 10, 2026, issued a corrigendum to its earlier notification dated March 30, 2026 (G.S.R. 231(E)), making various corrections in the Income-tax schedules and related provisions. These changes are primarily technical in nature and aim to rectify inconsistencies and errors in the notified forms and schedules.

The corrigendum includes corrections such as interchanging greyed and blank cells in Schedule-I for FY 2024-25 and 2025-26, omission of certain rows in Schedule CG, insertion of a new row relating to pass-through income/loss in the nature of short-term capital gains, and deletion/substitution of specific sub-rows and references across schedules like CG, OS, CYLA, and Part B-TI.

These amendments ensure accuracy and clarity in reporting requirements under the Income-tax framework and align computational references across schedules, thereby facilitating proper compliance by taxpayers and consistency in tax filings
