Labour ComplianceThe Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), on April 09, 2026, issued a corrigendum regarding DG-ESIC Central Rate Contract (RC) No. 161. The authority informed stakeholders about the deletion of a specific item from the approved drug list due to its off-patent status.

As per the corrigendum, Item No. 2336 – Pneumococcal Vaccine (PREVENAR 13) supplied by Pfizer Limited has been removed from the approved list w.e.f. March 31, 2026. This decision is in line with the terms of the e-tender and reflects changes arising from the product becoming off-patent.

All ESIC hospitals, dispensaries, medical institutions, and state schemes have been directed to take necessary action accordingly. The deletion impacts procurement under the rate contract for the validity period (08.04.2025 to 07.04.2027).
