The changes pertain to Chapter 1 (Account Types), Chapter 2 (Account Opening), and Chapter 6 (Settlement), specifically focusing on the categorization of demat accounts.
The revised provisions have been provided in track changes mode in Annexure A, enabling DPs to clearly identify the modifications introduced. These amendments are aimed at refining operational procedures and ensuring better clarity in classification and handling of demat accounts within the depository system.
Depository Participants are advised to carefully review the updated instructions and ensure necessary compliance with the revised provisions in their operations.
